Sean Neeson MLA said: “The news of competition in the domestic gas market is an excellent development for consumers.
“This will hopefully help drive down gas prices and deliver an even better deal for households in these areas.
“I would also like to see more homes across Northern Ireland being able to access gas so that more choice as regards energy is available to consumers.
“These are difficult times for people and anything that has the potential to lower bills and help people make ends meet is very welcome.”
