The Strangford MLA said: “It’s great to see Queens University keeping pushing back the boundaries in cancer care.
“I am very pleased to see Northern Ireland moving towards maximising our potential in scientific research as we have a very highly trained workforce in this area.
“High level international co-operation on combating cancer is very important because it is a massive killer on a worldwide scale.”
