Chris Lyttle MLA said:”I would like to wish every success to all the competitors taking part in the World Police and Fire Games. It is a fantastic event and I would encourage everybody to come along and watch some of the events that are taking place over the next ten days.
“These Games will help boost Northern Ireland’s international image and show that we are capable of hosting major events. We are certainly in the global limelight following the successful G8 summit in Fermanagh. We must do all that is possible to ensure that Northern Ireland is seen around the world for all the right reasons.
“I hope that the success of these Games will convince people that Northern Ireland is a good place to host other international events.”
