Trevor Lunn MLA stated: “This is deeply disturbing news. It’s very fortunate that no-one was killed in the incident, given the serious nature of the blaze.
“The individuals who caused this fire are nothing but thoughtless thugs who would seek to destroy their own community.
“This must have been a very traumatic ordeal for the people in the flats at the time. I want to wish those who were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation a speedy recovery. Police are currently investigating the circumstance surrounding the blaze and anyone with information should contact them immediately.”
