Lunn condemns Lisburn letter bomb

Alliance Lagan Valley MLA, Trevor Lunn, has condemned those responsible for a letter bomb that was found at the Linenhall postal sorting office in Lisburn. It follows another letter bomb that was found in Londonderry on Thursday.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “I am deeply concerned that a second letter bomb has been found in the space of 24 hours. There is no place for this in our society. The overwhelming majority of the population are opposed to the actions of those responsible for these devices.

“I would like to commend the postal staff who alerted the authorities about this suspect item and the Police and Army officers who put their lives at risk to deal with it.

“If anybody has any information about this letter bomb then I would urge them to contact the Police.”
