Anna Lo MLA said: “I am glad that Queen’s is continuing its commitment to attract international students. These young people will be the future leaders in their country and hopefully they will remember Northern Ireland in the future when they are the decision makers.
“These students will be a boost for the local economy when they are studying here. And the creation of 40 jobs should be especially welcomed in these economically uncertain times.
“Queen’s does however need to ensure that the courses these students take are well run and monitored so that these young people are not taken advantage of.”
