Anna Lo MLA said: “The Belfast Festival at Queen’s is one of the cultural highlights of the year. I have thoroughly enjoyed attending many events over the years and would be very disappointed if it did not go ahead this year.
“I hope the organisers will be able to find other forms of funding to enable a full festival to take place.
“I believe that there is a role for the Minister of Culture to step in and ensure that we do not lose this magnificent event.”
