Anna Lo MLA said: “This incident was nothing short of despicable. This must have been an extremely frightening ordeal for these two women. It’s very hard to understand how someone could put anyone through such a traumatic incident.
“Robberies at older people’s houses are a genuine concern but I want to assure them that they are rare occurrences. People do however want to see every possible effort being made by police and other agencies to ensure they can feel safe in their homes. Anyone who saw anything that could help police catch the perpetrators of this disgusting crime.”
