Cllr Alan Lawther said: “I was saddened to hear that another life had been lost on our roads. I would like to express my condolences to his family, friends and work colleagues. This must be an extremely difficult time for them.
“We must do more to improve road safety and reduce the number of lives that are lost on our roads. Even one death on our roads is one too many.
“I would urge all road users to take caution when out on the road.”
