Alliance Eniskillen by-election candidate Dr. Kumar Kamble has condemned the grenade attack on three police officers on Saturday night in Lisnaskea. The officers were treated for severe shock and minor injuries.
Dr Kamble said: “The people who carried out this attack were clearly looking to kill members of the police service. They have nothing to offer Northern Ireland in 2008, they still believe that they are living at the height of the troubles while everybody else has moved forward and left violence behind.
“I hope the officers make a speedy recovery and show that those behind the attack will not hold us to ransom.
“I would urge anybody with any information about this attack to contact the police so that these people are not allowed to walk our streets without facing justice from the courts.”
