Kamble accuses UUP and DUP of cynical unionist unity move

Alliance Party candidate in Fermanagh and South Tyrone Vasundhara Kamble has slammed the decision to have a unionist unity candidate in the constituency and described it as tribal and cynical.

Vasundhara Kamble said: “This is cynical and deeply tribal pact. The fact that both parties have struck a deal for Fermanagh and South Tyrone shows that shows tribalism still appears to be the main priority for both UCUNF and the DUP.

“The Ulster Unionists’ link with the Tories looks untenable now as the Tories want a UCUNF candidate in every constituency. It beggars belief that the Tories would put up with a deal of this nature at all.”
