Cllr Fitzpatrick said: “I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Roma McAleese. The whole community is behind the family during what must be an extremely difficult time.
“To lose a family member is a terrible tragedy, but to lose such a young child must be absolutely devastating.
“This tragic death illustrates the dangers that are posed in everyday situations and how fragile a life can be.”
