Fitzpatrick calls for a full enquiry into County Antrim road death

Coleraine Alliance Councillor Barney Fitzpatrick has passed on his sympathies to the family of the man who died in a traffic collision between a police car and a Renault Clio on the Ballybogey Road between Portrush and Ballymoney. He also called for a full enquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: “I would like to extend my sympathies to the family of this man and wish those who were injured a speedy recovery. This must be an absolutely terrible time for the family of the man who died and it’s also terrible for person who was driving the police car.

“Another life has been tragically lost on the roads this year. There needs to be a full and open enquiry into the circumstances surrounding this crash because of the involvement of a police car.”
