Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I was pleased to meet with the US Consul and to update him ahead of the visit of American President Barack Obama to Northern Ireland for the G8 meeting next month.
“We were able to inform Mr Burton of the latest developments in the delivery of a shared future and we passed on a copy of our ‘For Everyone’document that outlines our vision of a shared future and sets the standard for this issue.
“I look forward to the visit of President Obama and I hope that he will enjoy his stay in Northern Ireland. I hope that he will be able to comment not just on the meeting between the World Leaders but will be able to speak about Northern Ireland and global issues such as the IF campaign on global hunger.”
