Culture night proves Belfast is on the rise

Culture Night signals a Belfast on the rise, Alliance Councillor Emmet McDonough Brown has said ahead of the annual Culture Night celebrations.

Speaking ahead of the event which will see up to 50,000 people travel into the city centre to enjoy what’s on offer, the South Belfast Alliance Councillor is encouraging as many people as possible to come along, see what’s on offer and get involved.

“With 200 plus free events taking place in over 100 venues there will be something to suit everyone. If you haven’t been before, I’d highly recommend coming into Belfast later to see what it’s all about,” he said.

“Belfast is a fantastic city and Culture Night gives us the opportunity to showcase it at its best. Open to everyone, it signals the new Northern Ireland that the silent majority want to see become the norm – an open, welcoming city offering a choice range of new activities.

“Funded in part by Belfast City Council – alongside DETI, ACNI and Belfast Harbour – this event is an excellent tool to promote the arts and all kinds of cultural expression. Simply put, it is not to be missed.”
