Newcastle Alliance Councillor Patrick Clarke is calling on DRD Roads Service to include the Clanvaraghan Road in Clanvaraghan on its winter gritting schedule. Councillor Clarke has also requested salt boxes in the interim period as well for Clanvaraghan.
Newcastle Alliance Councillor Patrick Clarke stated:
“I have made written representations to DRD Roads Service to include the Clanvaraghan Road through Clanvaraghan on its winter gritting schedule.”
“I have also requested that DRD Roads Service also provide adequate salt boxes in Clanvaraghan.”
“Following a meeting with Drumaroad and Clanvaraghan Community Association at the Blacksmith’s shop recently members voiced their concern at the inadequate provision of salt boxes in Clanvaraghan. Members also asked if Clanvaraghan could be gritted by DRD Roads Service on their gritting schedule.”
