Cllr Tom Campbell said: “This was a despicable attack and the community will be shocked and appalled that this has happened.
“It is deeply troubling to think that anyone would carry out an attack of this nature. It’s difficult to understand the sickening mindset of someone who would take part in an act of destruction like this. Those involved must be brought to justice. Anyone with any information on this incident should contact the police immediately.”
