A 24-year-old man was attacked by a masked gang with a number of weapons in the Malfin Drive area around 10:10pm yesterday (Wednesday). One man was arrested and is currently helping police with their enquiries.
“This was an appalling incident and must have been terrifying for the victim,” said Ms Bradshaw.
“My thoughts are with him, especially as this assault appears to have been particularly brutal and vicious. I hope he makes a full and swift recovery.
“It is crucial those behind this attack are brought to justice. If anyone has information on this incident, I would encourage them to contact police immediately.”
