Alliance Coleraine Councillor Yvonne Boyle has expressed her shock after a man was stabbed in the Long Commons area of Coleraine on Tuesday night. A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the attack and also with intent to supply drugs. An amount of class B drugs were found on the two people who were arrested. The victim suffered only minor injuries.
Cllr Yvonne Boyle said: “I am shocked and appalled by this violent crime. This man could have been killed and we could have been looking at a murder happening in Coleraine.
“I hope that the victim will be able to make a swift recovery from his injuries.
“If anybody has any information about this attack then they must contact the police.”
