Dickson says scheme recognises the work of prison officers and will help deliver change

Alliance Justice Spokesperson Stewart Dickson MLA has said that the Northern Ireland Prison Service’s Voluntary Staff Exit Scheme announced today recognises the work of staff during very challenging times and he also said that the scheme will help in the transformation of the Prison Service.

Stewart Dickson MLA said: “This package recognises the work done by prison officers in often very difficult circumstances throughout the darkest days of the troubles. I want to praise the Justice Minister who has worked very hard to deliver the strongest possible package for staff.

“This package will help address the challenges facing the prison service for the future and help renew the service. This shows that David Ford is serious about prison reform and is serious about recognising the service of staff down the years.” ENDS
