The Strangford Assembly Member said: “I strongly support Ursula Quinn’s campaign to raise cross-border awareness on road safety, and I wish to convey my support to her as she begins her walk.
“People need to wise up and slow down. I call on drivers to watch their speed and be more observant when travelling.
Cllr Kieran McCarthy MLA concluded: “There are too many accidents on our roads and this disturbing trend seems to be worsening in recent times. I want to see an end to death on our road and an end to the large numbers of casualties created through traffic accidents.”
