The local Councillor was speaking after the fourth attack on the Dunanney Centre was discovered on Thursday, with sectarian graffiti daubed on the premises on Wednesday evening. Police are treating the incident as a hate crime.
Councillor Billy Webb said: “I am absolutely horrified at yet another attack on the Dunanney Centre. This is a direct attack on the whole community and those behind it must be brought to justice.
“The Dunanney centre is a vital resource for everyone living in the Rathcoole area and they are fed up with being held to ransom by the faceless few who decide to strike out against them.
“The work to repair damage caused by the last attack has not yet been finished. Those behind this on-going campaign of intimidation must be stopped. There is no place for thuggish behaviour in our society and I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible.”
