Cllr Geraldine Rice said: “I would like to praise the actions of the Police who have taken such a large number of guns and ammunition off our streets. The Police have ensured that the criminals who owned these weapons will not be able to use them to cause unknown damage to the community.
“I am deeply concerned that such a large number of guns were left where anybody could have found them.
“If anybody has any information about these weapons or saw any suspicious activity in the Manse Road area, then I would urge them to contact the Police.”
