Cllr Stewart Dickson said: “This is a large haul and I want to congratulate police on their good work. It is always good to hear about positive progress in taking this terrible scourge on our society off our streets.
“As someone who has campaigned long and hard to try and divert people away from anti-social behaviour the fact that this haul has been removed from circulation is positive news.
“Those involved in relation to this must face the full weight of the law to send out the strongest possible anti-drugs message.”
