There is never any excuse for guns on our streets, Alliance Policing Board spokesperson John Blair MLA has said, after a man was shot dead in West Belfast.

The victim was killed in the Rodney Parade area. Mr Blair said it was a brutal attack which he condemned.

“This brutal attack has left another family mourning and I utterly condemn the actions of those behind it.

“There is never any excuse for guns and murder on our streets and we all have a role in preventing that and stopping a recurrence of these tragic events.

“If anyone has any information whatsoever on this incident, please bring it to police or Crimestoppers immediately.”
