Cllr Andrew Muir stated “The A2 Bangor to Belfast Road facilitates over 45,000 vehicles a day. With the Bangor bound lane partially closed since the weekend, commuters are increasingly frustrated that the problem has continued for so long.
“After numerous attempts to speak to a BT representative, I eventually spoke to a person in charge and managed to establish that the problem may be resolved by Thursday. I hope that they will be able to keep to their word and that these delays will have ended by then.
“I urge BT to ensure the roadworks are completed without any further delay. I would also call on them to provide a detailed explanation concerning why the roadworks have been allowed to continue for so long during peak travel times.”
