A representative for Ballyclare, Councillor McCudden said he hoped to play his part in building a more inclusive society for everyone in the area.
Councillor Pat McCudden said: “I am absolutely delighted to be representing everyone in Newtownabbey on behalf of the Alliance Party. It is a great honour to be selected for this role.
“Over the coming year I will work with the Mayor to ensure Newtownabbey continues to grow and prosper, tackling the issues that matter most to local people.
“It is essential we continue to attract investment, develop our shared spaces and enhance our local environment – creating a strong united community that benefits everyone.”
