Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “I am deeply annoyed that local people were left without this vital resource and although the homes in the town have the water supply restored, the problem still appears not be resolved for others.
“A large number of farms in the area still appear to be without water supply. This is their livelihood and they need water to go about their daily work and tend to cattle.
“I have been working round the clock, talking to concerned residents and to the authorities, to push them to get the burst pipe fixed and get normal service resumed.
“While I acknowledge that NI Water is trying to do their best to address this problem, it is still extremely frustrating that it occurred in the first place and is taking so long to resolve.”
