Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “I was very saddened to hear that another life has been lost on our roads. I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of this man. His family must be devastated by this horrific news.
“I am very concerned that this is the sixth road death in 2014. However, I am pleased to see the Environment Minister taking action by organising a meeting of the Road Safety Forum.
“I would urge all road users to take extra precautions when out on the road to ensure that no more lives are lost.”
