Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “Those behind this security alert in Aughnacloy and the incident in Craigavon are absolutely contemptible. These despicable actions actually strengthen our resolve to continue moving our society forward to a brighter, shared future.
“I am deeply annoyed at those who have caused so much disruption to the lives of people in Aughnacloy with this alert. To put people through this type of experience is nothing short of disgraceful and my thoughts are with those who have had to spend the night away from their home.
“Anyone who can help police catch those behind these activities should contact them immediately to help them with their investigations.”
