McCarthy condemns attack at Portavogie bonfire

Alliance Chief Whip, Kieran McCarthy, has condemned an attack on a man during the Eleventh night bonfire in Portavogie.

The Strangford Assembly Member stated: “I strongly condemn the attack on a man at a bonfire in Portavogie on 11 July.

“This type of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and totally abhorrent. We are moving towards a more peaceful and stable society in Northern Ireland, and to make further progress people must respect the rule of law.”
