Mayor Muir condemns Holywood assault

Alliance Mayor of North Down, Cllr Andrew Muir, has condemned an assault on a 37 year old man who had part of his ear bitten off. The attack took place at 11am on Friday in the Sullivan Place area of Holywood.

Cllr Andrew Muir said: “This was an appalling and despicable crime. The local community are shocked by this horrific attack.

“There is no place in our society for this type of crime. I hope the victim will be able to make a full recovery.

“If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police.”
