Lyttle encourages people to be prepared ahead of winter weather

East Belfast Alliance MLA Chris Lyttle has encouraged people to ensure all water pipes are protected ahead of the winter to help prevent the possibility of burst pipes if there is another big freeze.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “Now is the time to prepare for winter and I would strongly encourage people to get pipes lagged. We all hope that this is not going to be another difficult winter but it’s best to be prepared for all conditions. It is also crucial that NI Water takes all the necessary steps to ensure that our water supply is unaffected this winter.

“I strongly support the NI Water ‘lag and tag’ awareness raising campaign. It is crucial that people take the action necessary to help prevent burst pipes around the home.”
