Condemning incidents which took place overnight in Inverary Drive and Sandbrook Park, the local MLA said the increasing attacks would not be tolerated by the community.
Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I am outraged that anyone should be targeted for this kind of attack. Hate Crime is completely unacceptable and rejected by the vast majority of people in East Belfast.
“There is no place in our society for this type of behaviour and I would urge the whole community to stand together in condemnation.
“This will have been a traumatic experience for those targeted and I am relieved no-one was injured during these attacks.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible to ensure this growing threat is removed from our streets.”
