Lunn shocked at car hijack attempt

Alliance Lagan Valley MLA Trevor Lunn has expressed his shock at the attempted car hijacking on Hillhall Road in Lisburn on Wednesday night. A man attempted to get into a woman’s car as she waited for the lights to change. She managed to fend him off before he fled after several people came to her help.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “This must have been an extremely distressing event. I must congratulate her on resisting this man’s attempts to steal her car.

“Several people upon seeing this crime came to offer assistance and they should be rightly commended.

“This man may try this again and he might be successful, so I would urge anybody who has any information about this attempted car hijack to contact the police.”
