The body was discovered in the Limehurst Way area of the city on Monday afternoon. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“This is a sad incident,” said Lagan Valley MLA Mr Lunn.
“Whatever the circumstances surrounding this death, no-one deserves to die in this way. The local community are shocked at this news.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased. If anyone has information on this incident, I would urge them to contact the police immediately.”
