Lunn says unified approach essential on post-primary transfer

Alliance Education Spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA has welcomed news of a meeting of headteachers on post-primary transfer and he encouraged them to support the four party talks group’s call for a CCEA test as a temporary measure.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “We welcome their discussions and we hope they would support the all-party group recommendation calling for an officially regulated CCEA test.

“We hope that whatever the outcome, that headteachers would recognise more easily than most the effect of this year’s procedure on the children and the need to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”
