Lunn presses Minister on Lisburn social housing plan

Lagan Valley Alliance MLA Trevor Lunn has asked the Minster for Social Housing for an update on the sale of land at Ballymicoss Hill in Lisburn to the Housing Executive for social housing. He asked her about the matter today during Ministerial Questions at the Assembly. The initiative could deliver 160 new social houses in the area.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “During Ministerial Questions I asked Margaret Ritchie for information on developments regarding the sale of land at Ballymicoss Hill for social housing.

“This saga has been going on for some time and people want to see it resolved quickly. The land is sitting unused and the community in Lisburn is crying out for more social housing in the area.

“During Ministerial Questions, the Minister promised to come back to me with an update on the issue. I will be keeping the pressure on the Minister and Housing Executive to deliver the sale of this land and the building of these much needed social houses.”
