Alliance MLA Trevor Lunn has said he is shocked after the discovery of a man’s body in North Belfast led to police launching a murder investigation.
Two men, aged 26 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the discovery in Orient Gardens off the Cliftonville Road. Police have asked anyone in the area between 7pm and 10pm to contact police.
“This is a shocking incident and my thoughts are with the loved ones of the deceased at what must be an extremely sad time for them. It will have caused great shock in the local community,” said Mr Lunn.
“If anyone has any information whatsoever, I would appeal for them to contact police immediately.”
