Lunn expresses condolences following death of cyclist

Alliance Lagan Valley MLA, Trevor Lunn, has passed on his condolences following the death of a cyclist outside Hillsborough on Wednesday morning. A lorry was involved in the accident on the A1.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “I was very saddened to learn that another life has been lost on our roads. I would like to express my condolences to this man’s family and friends. This will undoubtedly be a very difficult time for them. It’s the second tragic road fatality in 24 hours.

“He was the 70^th person to be killed on our roads this year. We must do more to promote road safety and ensure that no more lives are lost on our roads.

“It is incumbent on all road users to exercise extreme care when out on the road and to be vigilant for others. Pedestrians and cyclists are particularly vulnerable at this time of the year.”
