Trevor Lunn MLA said: “Where is the detail regarding the Maze project? We have been waiting for well over a year for the Maze Development Corporation to be set up and we need to know when it will be established.
“The speedy redevelopment of the Maze site is of paramount importance not just to people in Lagan Valley but to everyone throughout Northern Ireland. The site has massive potential and any further delays would be simply unacceptable.
“Valuable time is being lost and this is simply not on. When will the Development Corporation be set up? We need to see a timetable that will point the way forward on this important project.
“When we need proactive decision making, we inevitably get delays. Delays do not help attract business here and grow our economy. This problem was once again highlighted by Michael O’Leary’s comments about our planning system. We need urgent action on the Maze project to ensure more time is not lost.”
