Long slams last night’s attack on a man in East Belfast

Alliance Deputy Leader and East Belfast MLA Naomi Long has hit out at those involved in last night’s attack on a man on Connsbrook Avenue in East Belfast. The man is in a critical condition in hospital, and four men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Naomi Long said: “I strongly condemn those involved in this horrific and brutal attack.

“We are trying to create a stable and peaceful society in Northern Ireland, and such attacks must be prevented.

“I hope that the victim makes a swift and full recovery and I would call on anyone with information on the incident to contact police immediately.”
