Naomi Long MLA said: “What sets Belfast apart from other cities with Titanic history is that we have so many authentic Titanic artefacts. Projects like the restoration of the Nomadic have massive potential in terms of attracting tourists here and I am very pleased that they are a step closer to gaining funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
“The Nomadic and the wider Titanic project have the potential to be a major tourism revenue generator for Belfast and for Northern Ireland . I am hopeful that the Heritage Lottery Fund will see how exciting and how significant this project is and funding can be accessed to restore the Nomadic to its former glory.”
