Long appalled at East Belfast attack

East Belfast Alliance MLA Naomi Long has expressed disgust at an attack which left a 56-year-old man needing hospital treatment for facial injuries. The attack happened at around 8pm last night on Eastleigh Drive in the east of the city.

Naomi Long MLA said: “This was a terrible assault and I hope the man who was attacked makes a full and swift recovery.

“It happened in a quiet, residential area and people are deeply concerned at the brutal nature of this attack.

“Anyone who witnessed anything in relation to this attack must contact police immediately so that the perpetrators can be quickly apprehended.”
