Lo sickened by paramilitary style shooting in West Belfast

Alliance MLA Anna Lo has expressed her disgust at those behind a paramilitary style shooting of a young man in West Belfast on Wednesday night. The 18 year old was taken in a car by four masked men from La Salle Drive to Corrib Avenue where he was shot in both legs, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Anna Lo MLA said: “I am sickened that such a horrendous attack was carried out. This was a callous and brutal crime that was carried out by a bunch of thugs that nobody wants on our streets.

“My thoughts are with the victim and I would like to wish him a speedy recovery from his injuries.

“If anybody has any information about this shooting then I would urge them to contact the police. These people must be brought before the courts and punished for their crimes.”
