Anna Lo MLA said: “I am very pleased to have been able to host this event to mark Fairtrade fortnight.
“The profits from their sales go to those who deserve them. It’s about ensuring a fair day’s pay for a day’s work and making sure that the working environment for people in the developing world is safe and healthy.
“Fair trading helps stop the exploitation of workers and Fairtrade fortnight is an important part of the awareness-raising campaign. People need to realize that they can make a real difference simply by making small changes to their shopping habits.”
