Lo and Duncan meet with RSPB following vandalism at their HQ

South Belfast Alliance MLA Anna Lo and Castlereagh Alliance Councillor Sara Duncan have met with the RSPB’s James Robinson about recent vandalism at the organisation’s Belvoir Park Forest Headquarters. Alliance is writing to the PSNI and Minister for Regional Development to address the issue and try and prevent further vandalism in future.

Anna Lo MLA said: “This vandalism is despicable and every possible effort must be made to prevent further incidents.

“This meeting was extremely useful and hopefully through communication with the PSNI and relevant government department we can help deliver greater safeguards against vandalism here.

“We are writing to the PSNI and Minister for Regional Development to see what can be done to stop any repeat of this.”

Cllr Sara Duncan said: “This is an area of great natural beauty and is a vital leisure resource for people in the area. We must stop the vandals and Alliance will do all we can to prevent sad news like this in the future.”
