The three vehicles were burnt out in the Stiles estate in the town, with Councillor Kelly calling the incident “absolutely disgraceful”.
“This is happening too often in our town – it needs to stop and stop now,” he said.
“Those responsible have no regard for property or people and their deplorable actions are putting lives at risk. Only the quick response of the Fire Service stopped the flames from reaching nearby homes.
“I have contacted the neighbourhood PSNI about this incident and would urge anyone with information regarding those responsible to give it to police immediately.”
