Cllr Máire Hendron said: “I am very pleased that after I proposed that the centre should stay open for the foreseeable future it was agreed that it would. This is excellent news for the community and is testament to the work being done by those involved with the centre.
“I would like to congratulate the council officers and members of the community who worked so hard to make this possible.
“The centre has an important role to play in the life of the local community. Alliance has done a lot of work to ensure that it remains open and this very positive news for the community.
“Excellent progress has been made, much good work is being done at the centre and I am pleased that this work can continue.”
