Kieran McCarthy MLA stated: “I would welcome this scheme as long as it does not take up doctors’ time that would normally be devoted to treating patients. It also appears that this initiative will mean high healthcare standards can be maintained through regular checks – this is essential.
“I do not want to see our doctors bogged down in bureaucracy, so if this scheme can be implemented with no reduction in each doctor’s time with patients, I would support it.”
